A lot more people are spending a lot more time thinking now than in the past (mostly involuntarily and not well). An obvious effect of living in an information abundant digital environment with more and more physical work becoming automated. Yet it somehow doesn’t seem obvious.

I have been thinking about this a lot lately because I've been diving deep into IoT and crypto. I read at least 10 hrs/wk on my off time, just to keep my head above the water. Sometimes I wonder if I'll be able to keep it up past 50! It's a young person's world now...
