Ah found the right question for what I’m actually drilling for. What was the top example in your life when you choose inconvenience over convenience when you didn’t have to? How did it turn out?

spent four years taking latin classes. stopped when i realized i wasn't actually learning latin. absolute fiasco, complete waste of energy.
How was that choosing inconvenience upfront though? What was the convenient alternative?

convenient alternative was to learn french or spanish. both of these have 1. the benefit of being useful languages and 2. plenty of media you can consume to practice with.
