Inconvenient wisdom gained on Twitter today
Meaning in life is created by unnecessarily detailed preferences and unnecessarily specific ways of caring.
IOW living less conveniently, more energy, than necessary.
Living tastefully = cargo cult version of this.

Yeah but they do that by supplying conveniences. Eg you don’t have to make paper too unless you want to.

It can feed back on itself too. "Paper" was mostly a one-dimensional commodity to me until I started writing on it more. Then I discovered a particular notebook I liked Paper quality being meaningful would've been obvious to anyone living in an all-paper world/time
