I had the stereotype in my head that women are more likely to read fantasy, and men more likely to read science fiction. Maybe ask about Terry Pratchett?

I think the right converse question is men reading sci-fi by women authors, since original motive was remark by woman friend that hhg seemed like a “guy thing”
