Gen Xers must seem weird to younger people with a fully public+digital coming-of-age personal history. We pop into social media historical record suddenly in mid 2000s fully formed as adults in 30s, with no visible history of 20s (my 90s social Internet traces are lost to bitrot)

I started foruming online around the age of 12, back when everyone believed internet is anonymous. The chances of someone digging up some of my old posts and linking them back to me are minuscule, but it's terrifying to thing what they might find.
