A definition of genius I really like is “talent hits the target others can’t hit, genius hits the target others can’t see”. Partly because it is based on actions rather than personality (do something over be someone) and partly because my actions occasionally qualify.

IMO, we need genius now for social, economic and environmental issues. All the best moving beyond your dip. I'm sure you will.

“Genius Recession” is thought provoking- its somehow related to how we network & collaborate & if we place our hope in our full potential... or instead, hold ourselves back.

That's one analogy that can work, but you don't take it far enough. Compare the approach of a shaman rather than the artist. Active, instead of passive. The shaman has to cross to the otherworld in order to gossip with the daemons, rather than them coming over here to visit.

The shaman is having to face the danger of crossing the wall, rather than the daemons facing the dangers. You have to go back-and-forth yourself. It's only polite.

Is there an analogous explanation for the Commonsense Recession? How about the Civility Recession and the Humanness Recession? Are the daemons acting in concert?
