“Doesn’t work” as in most people who have picked it up at any point haven’t actually even tried to read it. Kinda like Tufte books. All self-respecting designery types own a set, almost none read it. Tufte's books may be more useful for those of us not 'designer-y types'. I loved them, partly for the presentation, but also because they made me ask questions - a tremendously important skill to develop in a programmer learning design skills.
