I’m moving the breaking smart list to substack this week. There will be broken links galore, which I may or may not ever get around to fixing. Main immediate reason: substack is free while mailchimp is now costing me $90/mo.
Technology history. Their architectural approach is wrong for the way the web is evolving I think. They are managing the business side of their house fine.

I never say no to an actual free lunch either, but substack seems to want to make money in ways (taking a cut on paid newsletters) that are friendlier to my goals as well, so I'm on board.
