Though I'm not sure this is a good way to measure the web anymore. Most content that would have been independent sites now lives on platforms. So is Medium for example counted as 1 website or a zillion blogs? Unclear what the methodology is/should be here. cc

Yeah, it's like the serverless joke that maybe the ibm president in the 50s was right as the world does only need 3-4 computers -- aws, gcp, and azure.
I guess the methodology depends on if you want to count unique orgs that have chosen a tech or unique spaces using a tech.
