One of the problems with PayPal is that there’s really no way to signal professionalism and business-like competence even if you want to. Everybody looks like a shady scammer on PayPal. The thing has a brand identity crisis. Venmo is headed down the same road.

Largely true, from what I've seen. OTOH, details of listing(s) make a huge difference for those of us that know how to parse them.

That it looks like scammer (and mostly is). Just saying that parsing correctly can frequently filter that out. Don't agree? I'm curious.

They shouldve started a separate thing called PayBiz for frictionless + serious corp/small biz payments and made PayPal more fun
Instead, they spent a ton going after coupons which were the rage back then.
Tough call in hindsight.
