Even if they achieve nothing else and the whole sector goes bust, the crypto crowd will likely learn more about economics than economists and more about contracts than lawyers, and expose the "scientific" vanities of both by demonstrating their equivalence to astrology.

Do you have any interesting opinions about blockchain based "smart contracts" (openlaw.io)? When you put contracts into literal code, you have to contend with just how much of that messiness is a desired feature and code it in explicitly (manual arbitration, etc)
