Don’t value reading books or the physical objects?

Either. It’s just an activity I do as much or as little of as I need/want to at any given time. Not a religion.

love my kindle almost as much for the fact I no longer fill my house with books as I do for the fact I can read anywhere, and search within anything. There’s nuance though - my children are growing up in a house full of the books we were reading in 2009

I got rid of my library before moving countries. A lot less hassle now, also a lot less visible erudition. Promised myself not to ‘invest’ that much money into something that’s throwaway again.

What is your list of 50?

I had the same question. I would be curious to know what you value the most!

It's definitely worth more to read them than have them.

In the end it’s just fetishizing an object, which, eh, if it’s your thing who’s it hurting? But which ones would you keep and why?

Books are food. But whole library of e-books fits in my iPad mini & I can take them all with me on the road. I do enjoy physicality of printed books, but difference in convenience is just enormous. Maybe if I ever retire to a country estate I’ll collect a physical library again.
