you know what's weird, i remember thinking this out like at least a decade ago, that the authority over "truth" would eventually dissolve (i consider this subtly orthogonal to postmodernism) but i really didn't give it much thought past that

If you really accept this point, you realize that anything you want in life can be achieved by getting people enrolled in your vision. Authenticity + "skin in the game" + integrity is pretty much the formula that will make this happen without fail.

Stability or convergence has some importance in determining what's true like many other things, but none so far as I know will guarantee it.
