It’s the Age of Axe-Grinding in media. There is an exhausting sterility and predictability to what will be selected for coverage by whom, and how it will be covered. A limited imagination budget stretched thin. A focus on defending the take bases rather than creating surprise 😬

It's not their job to surprise us. It's not their job to be creative. Their job is to provide information. The MSM is failing. They're passing off opinion as information, for ratings and profit.

They get paid based on how many people watch. They try and get as many people to watch as possible. It’s a problem with the structure of the industry. We should think about restructuring payment for news organizations.
