I’ve been spending more and more time reflecting on the fact that – with the same amount of time and resources, you can make something (movie, game, etc) mediocre, or you can make something amazing that stays with people for life I’m trying to learn how to do the latter

Y’know, this resonated with me a lot from 22-25-ish when life just seemed relentlessly difficult, but I find that now that I’ve mostly gotten accustomed to it, it’s not really an issue for me, an I’m returning to early-teens type questions but with adult tactical/strategic sense

It’s still relentlessly difficult. You’ve just lowered your expectations and not admitted it to yourself 😂 Mature tactics need genius fueling them to beat effort shock Mature strategy need serendipity to work with to beat effort shock Otherwise it’s the same grind as at 22

Oh I absolutely have lowered expectations, happy to admit. My expectations were ridiculous. To simplify, it used to be in the sphere of “save the world”, and now it’s in the sphere of “save one kid”
