Bought dinner for a fellow at the airport last week who had lost his job after he suffered a stroke last year. (How do I know that's not just his line?
He felt honest, not trying-to-convince, and was indeed limping.)
Wondering about the prevalence of that sort of situation. -
Made me think a lot about the psychology of UBI too. The guy apologized many times. He expressed that he hated asking for money after decades of being able to support himself—and clearly, he preferred asking for money over choosing to die of starvation instead.
