I didn't see this specifically addressed. So, if you're "distilling" your life spirit, does that mean you're born with pure life spirit AND some amount of "water", making your goal to un-dilute yourself by driving off the "water"?

This is cool. Even with the more systematic stuff on rf, it's been fairly clear imo that posts are to be considered and dropped into the subconscious, until their spit back out in any given "now." Exception might be new years calibration.
