I formulated a sort of antithesis to Occam’s razor, which I call the principle of maximal solipsistic variety:
A class of unobservable states must be assumed to be extant in the maximal variety state consistent with presumed correlated observable states.

I agree with this. It’s not incompatible with Occam’s Razor.
Occams’s Razor favors the simplest explanations, which isn’t the same as the smallest universe with the least stuff in it.
Example: Simplest QM explanation (Everett) means huge number of parallel universes. That’s OK.
