I don't like running recurring-revenue business models myself...but man the world is really moving towards it. A steadily growing fraction of my income is on some sort of autopilot billing cycle where if I don't watch out and cancel, it will keep piling up.

Nothing against it, I just don't like being on the hook/on-call for delivering "value" to anyone (including myself) at a predictable rate. But this means my income is generated in spiky, "special mission" ways, while my expenses go out in steady-trickle ways. Annoying pressure 🤬

There has to be a correction away from never building/owning assets (pay as you go at borrowing rates of 30%) to owning something (not Europe government bonds)
