I’ve watched some videos but I haven’t yet started using WordPress Gutenberg. The interesting thing about it is that the name is actually warranted. The blocks paradigm makes it “movable ideas” instead of movable types. It can transform the writing process if you let it.

Haven’t tried this yet, but I’ve always wanted to start posts in medias res, and then at some point transition to a little meta comment (typeset a little different from the main content) — similar to the structure of a This American Life episode.

Seems like an even further extreme than "delete the boring rambly introduction that was just there to get your thoughts flowing". I'm also thinking about how lots of people recommend flipping through a book until something catches your interest, rather than starting at word one.

I've been in the process of redoing my portfolio with Gutenberg. It seems so simple, that's really appealing. It reminds me of a much extended Medium or LinkedIn authorship interface. I haven't been focusing on the front-end yet though.
