One of the challenges of being both a writer and editor who knows a lot of other writers is that any time you think of an idea, 10 seconds later you think of someone who'd do a better job writing it than yourself. Only 1 in 10 ideas I think of are ones I feel I should tackle.

My ratio is more like 1:100, but that might just be laziness (not the worst impulse in an editor).

Indeed. By the way, I'd gladly read YOU on the virtues of laziness in leaders. My only question is whether the 2x2 chart should pit initiative/laziness against creativity/lack-thereof or benevolence/sociopathy.
