What's the most most mysterious bug you've ever encountered that later turned out to have a trivial explanation?

In a CMS for reporting poker tournaments, where we'd have 100+ posts/day, we'd often lose a post around midnight if the tournament played that long. We'd type it up, hit publish, just like always, but it wouldn't appear in the blog. We'd have to retype it and repost it.

Yep. Had to do with updating the time-stamps upon hitting "Publish," but not the date.

It turns out that when you started a post, it pre-filled the time and date fields. But when you hit "Publish," it updated the time, but not the date. So anytime you started a post at 11:58 pm, but hit publish at 12:01 am, it would actually post at 12:01 am THE PREVIOUS DAY. 👿
