All my worst business interactions are with the Real Estate industry in some form or another. I think something about the inherently zero-sum nature of land permeates the rest of the worldview.

I think the industry has a lot of issues it’s structurally unwilling to work through with the role it played in segregation, suburbanization, redlining, etc. If your product is idealized fiefdoms for the atomic-family, and there’s no value-add possible, who signs up?
