If you cross the STEM/humanities divide at all, chances are a) you’re a contrarian who’s picked beefs in native turf, bringing a grudge to the other side b) have dangerous skills and weapons the other side is not used to c) want to use relative differentiation for personal gain

as a philosophy MA, I can confirm that the power vaccums in humanities fields are huge and neglected. I basically got frog marched out of the discipline because I insisted that our word games had real world implications that didn't just coincide with culture war meat grinders
