@calcsam. Formulas are the most valuable pre-programming skill. You can do most anything with formulas and cleverness. -
Formulas aren’t a pre-programming skill, they’re a programming skill. Excel is a programming environment in which variables are identified and viewed by their spatial coordinates instead of arbitrary names.

VB macros are evil. Pure functions written in VBA can be called from spreadsheet formulas and thus abstract complex math logic. Making for better spreadsheets emphasizing dataflow logic not hacks to get math operations done.
