That would be 3 centuries after Mahavira though. Jainism beat Buddhism to the punch by a century I think.
Thanks for the correction. I didnt know Jainism preceded Buddha.
More than that parshvanath(23rd tirthankara ) of jainism lived around 900-800BC & there r 22 before him. ..jainism is way older than what popular belief is ..
