1. Thoroughly unoriginal cloning of commercial projects

I can't recall what I said but 1 is not thoroughly unoriginal... it is process innovation, linux was built via by a distributed web of contributors rather than employees of a company, so total innovation content may be the same. Product innovation + process innovation = constant.
