I would like to see a karate kid style movie but for coding. What would be the equivalent of “paint the fence”? ...real-world version of Lauren ipsum. Only realistic Trojan-horse programming lessons allowed.

Have them teach a really really dumb person how to make a sandwitch or other tasks - step by step

If it is Bollywood, it will be surely some exaggerated form of hacking.
But most movies depict coders as prodigies. Perseverance and the journey is rarely portrayed.
So, yeah I "paint the fence" analogy would be interesting.
MIYAGI: First lesson: Type this book.
DANIEL: But I can't read it. What language is this?
MIYAGI: Does not matter. What is this?
DANIEL: A 'c'.
MIYAGI: And this?
DANIEL: An 'e'.
MIYAGI, nods and wanders off singing a Japanese folk song: Type, Daniel-san. Type!

Use Legos to build different components and then the connectors. Finally, resulting in something that looks awesome.

Without a doubt, it would be using digital logic gates to code (i mean build) simple “if” structures.
It takes a lot of patience to do interesting things. When you reach elaborate digital circuits, it starts to look like a CPU and you really understand _machine_ language.
