Twitter has a very frontier feel to it as a place to experiment with content, but it's more a frontier-themed theme park than an actual frontier due to a) private ownership b) no real "roughing it" barrier to entry. More Buffalo Bill than Wild Bill Hickock.

Somewhere else this weekend I referred to as a Shaolin temple where you can go for a skills reboot. But remember, the Shaolin temple is not a frontier of martial arts. It's civilizational core. And it takes special care to use Twitter this way instead of larping frontierism.
