I'm more interested in thinking thoughts that are "distant" in some sense from thoughts that have been thought before than in thinking important, original, or difficult thoughts.

But theres a weird headspace you get into when you can hold a thought in your head that doesn't strongly suggest other thoughts or trigger associative bunnytrails. Kinda addictive.

Is that 1st sentence true? Dont thoughts often arise repetitively or in 'patterns? Or arise without destroying the previous one but building on it in a way that's not creative - anxiety, mechanical repetition etc? And other things we notice to us when we pay attention?
