Even if it’s decision making was poor its Act-loop was orders of magnitude faster and thus winning. I think the litmus test for this would be to subject the same AI to a turn based game such as chess or Civ. (where I believe OODA loops are hard-set to the same speed?)

My dad's research shows that it's not speed which wins, it's forcing the opponent to freeze by interrupting their loop. Any not-wrong action can do that, not just right action. Would be interesting to see if the bot's unnatural speed caused a decrease in the human effective APM
