I'm sure all the people we bombed, tortured and enslaved in the process of breaching are overjoyed we're a global power. Not to mention all the underpaid middle-class folks at home subsidizing our military excursions via their children's blood and taxes. Witty quote otherwise.

About time a lot of other countries went that way! I recollect reading referring to pragmatism over values in US foreign policy too. China too has been more practical than idealistic. Little wonder that both countries are benchmarks of success.
