One of the things I’m best at - probably top 1% at - is making internet friends. But I can’t talk about it too much or too explicitly - because even talking about *parts* of it makes people uncomfortable. It’s like pickup but for friends. You’re just supposed to “be natural”

Don't let it stop you. If you write it with the intent of helping people improve their communication, this will be clear. I know intent is definitely not enough when conveying a message but I'd guess your followers are reasonable enough.

Heh this must be a common hack. One of unconscious defense mechanisms is to simply slow things to a crawl when I spot red flags in a new acquaintance
