I don’t want it to go away. I want it to turn into a backend analysis variable rather than a frontend UX/marketing variable. Color-backend, not color-blind.

I agree that AOC’s rhetoric that foregrounds economic issues shared by most is welcome, but we are already seeing how the identity of that messenger is shaping the reception of her message. Bracketing race doesn’t make it go away.
