The millennial version of Naipaul's "A House for Mr. Biswas" would be titled "An Experience for Mr. Biswas"

Okay, you need to write an entire longform post with a millenial version of Mr Biswas.
Which kickstarter do I have to donate to in order for this to happen?

I haven't actually read the original, I just know the cliff notes gloss :) Naipaul kinda gets under my skin a little bit too uncomfortably for me to enjoy.

That's how I felt about some of his books (like A Bend in the River, which was probably brilliant but made me extremely uncomfortable).
But A House for Mr Biswas was so so good.

My Biswas is a brilliant book, by the way.
I find myself thinking about this scene, in particular, all the time.

He had a Taleb-like ability to poison-pill his own writing somehow, though with much more literary subtlety of course. I suppose I should read it.

If you want something gentler, which feels pleasant and meditative without his typical, pervasive violent undertones, you can try The Enigma of Arrival.
