Too tricky to answer. I probably only prefer experiences <at this point in my life> because I've already collected all the "things" I need to live comfortably.

It's funny that to me (and, I expect, most others my age), "acquiring things" has connotations of vice, while "having experiences" sounds virtuous.
-
It's almost hard to believe that these connotations have evolved, but they clearly have, and I expect they will again. The baby boomers seem shallow to us for their focus on acquiring possessions, and I imagine that we will seem selfish for our focus on having grand experiences.

People say they put e over t, but I bet most actually put t over e

I reckon it’s experiences over things, irrespective of generation. We generally have enough “stuff”, and have varying degrees of environmental sensitivity (assuming less stuff, less environmental degradation).
-
Ppl are becoming more mindful and aware of their existence, and thus the intangible has become premium. Examples include instagramable content is more about an experience or a feeling than it is about things. If it is about a thing, it’s about how having that thing makes you feel

Where is option for not preferring anything over anything? I want nothing, prefer nothing ...

M, but mostly prefer money to keep my options open, voted E. But, if "things" include "income-producing assets" then that.

My perspective of spending lots of time thinking about how things are designed probably puts me closer to T. I also developed a strong mindset around personal responsibility for not being bored which makes it slightly harder for me to understand consumption of experiences.
