Is internet bandwidth synonymous with speed?
I.e could there be a high bandwidth, but low speed connection? Or a low bandwidth, but high speed one? Or does that not make any sense?

A low speed high bandwidth connection is a big hard disk array on a truck. Amazon offers that as a service now I think.

That was the analogy that did it for me. I’m developing a theory that the world/ppl are dividing into bandwidth vs latency camps

I legitimately couldn’t tell if the Amazon part was a joke or not. For other onlookers, it’s real: aws.amazon.com/snowmobile/

This is actually part of a whole area of study! Effective bandwidth gave Reed Hastings the idea for Netflix: qz.com/921205/netflix
