Came up with a weird analogy: having “fun” is living off naked call options on an ascendant narrative, whose positive externalities you’re free-riding on. Or something like that.
Dark fun (nihilistic) is something something put options. Can’t figure that one out.

Trying to model “fun” in finance metaphor, taking the grasshopper (from grasshopper and ant fable) in summer as the underlying archetypal example. In this analogy, I think the ant would be a bond investor or gold bug.
