What is a word opposite of “bitter”? For example, being in love twice has taught me that I love love but I do not prefer it. What is the word for that?
I think “approve” does the trick. Positive but suggests you don’t necessarily want it for yourself. For example I approve of learning music, running for political office, learning to code. But I wouldn’t say I approve of travel. I’d say I like to travel.

“I approve of love” sounds legit. Thank you!

Hercules Poirot often says something like it. Agatha Christie novels often have unattached detectives like Poirot and Miss Marple working to bring young lovers together while solving the murder. It’s a very uncle/aunt type sentiment so you’re aging yourself
