Not familiar with how Clarke defines Nerve and Imagination - how does Rincewind fit with nerve+no imagination?

Hmm probably mostly low on both in conventional sense, but high on nerve in unconventional “say no” sense, so hufflepuff

Hard disagree - whole lot of Slytherin that qualify highly in the Nerve+Imagination set.

Have you seen sortinghatchats.tumblr.com They have a few fun articles about the houses and putting characters in them.

I think the boolean opposite of that would be a better mapping.
Slytherin has nerve+imagination (to dominate the world/build a secret chamber in school etc).
Gryffindor is all about restoring good ol' bureaucracy in the event of chaos.
