I’m just going to start keeping my “rest-of-my-life 50 serious books” list here and move it if/when Twitter dies since we’re talking 40 years. Book #1 is Azuma’s “Otaku: Japan’s Database Animals” which and have convinced me to read. Read along if you like.

I think I’m only going to read 50 more “serious” books in my life, max, estimating at average rate of 1-2/year and 40 more years. Probably overestimate. Should start a list. On my list of most interesting ways to grow, books have dropped from #1 in ~1989 to like #8 for 2019
