I feel like I could use an exercise form that is based on rapid, unpredictable, unskilled whole-body movements. Like jogging/jumping jacks/burpees in place facing different directions while somebody (or an app) tells me to change directions or exercises randomly. Is this a thing?

Sometimes. We used to play a game where the instructor would give commands as fast as they could and we would keep going until only one person had gotten them all right.
