A few things would make Brexit easier: -ceding Northern Ireland to the Republic of Ireland. (Not going to happen while May's govt relies on DUP for a majority. I think this might actually be a long-term outcome though. The whole thing reminds me of how Newfoundland joined Canada)

-actually have people in government study the logistical issues. (David Cameron refused to do so before the referendum. The govt has been playing catch-up since, but under-resourced with incompetent and ideologically-driven ministers directing the work.)
