Vaguely satisfying thing about malaise spreading to France is there are now basically no exceptions. Last big domino has fallen. Great Weirding is a properly correlated fully global phenomenon. Best to think of it in terms of globally local waves of unbridled cultural energy.

Weakest in sub-Saharan Africa (“developed” normalcy weak to begin with) less populous countries (Canada), and countries which already got hit by an earlier wave riding by an older tech generation (Arab Spring, feature phones), but I can’t think of truly untouched places. NZ?

The triggers+impacts have been different, but average “heat signature” power spectrum of Weirding wave is: 1. 30% ethnonationalism 2. 15% financial stress 3. 15% new-socialism 4. 20% anti-migrationism 5. 10% anti-globalist trade 6. 5% extreme weather stress 7. 5% tech stress

Anti-elitism is common drive, whatever local shape of heat signature. Popular sentiment demands: 1. Takedown of urban premium mediocre elites 2. Uncivil insurrectional new leaders 3. Palliative economic relief 4. Punch-down targets 5. Social recognition of illiberalism

I think this is a strong list. I would boost tech stress to 15 or 20%. It serves as a catalyst for populist explosions, igniting underlying discontent. Also, I think new-socialism would be more aptly split up into separate categories for identity concerned vs economic lefties.
