As far as I understand, the Finnish language has no gendered pronouns, yet they do quite well in international educational achievement comparisons... Connection? Also English does ok without grammatical gendered articles & common nouns; perhaps this would be no major loss?

I approve of your entirely unrealistic plan to get rid of gendered pronouns. Can I suggest after; the nightmare that are gendered nouns in languages like French.

Seriously, there's enough of an existing tendency to say "they" for person of undetermined gender, and it is consistent with some other languages.
