All this obsession with human and machine intelligence is just displaced anxiety over what we’re in denial about — stupidity is growing faster than intelligence.

The appearance of unprecedented brilliance relatively increases stupidity by blowing the curve.
But that same intelligence being able to meet a static challenge, such as balancing a checkbook, remains unchanged.
