It may not feel that way now, but I suspect people 14-22 now will be able to appreciate pre-2015 world without regretting ongoing endings. You’ll have no true nostalgia for that era but are not emotionally remote from it either. I have fond memories of 80s but am glad they ended.

Ah I see what you’re saying. My reference of the recession was to point out that for the 14-22 yo range of that time will see it as you say. If I understand correctly, Elder millennials who came of age during 94-2002 will have seen only the tech bust and 9/11 as local events?

9/11 was national. Tech bust was regional/sectoral. Non tech people and non investors barely noticed.
