So, just struck me that max warp speed in Star Trek TNG is about 0.73 light year per hour, but stars clearly streak by far faster in the visual field. What would the speed be as estimated by the streaks given average interstellar separations?

Maybe the streaks aren’t stars but are bits of dust burning up in the warp field or something.
