If instead of a facile dismissal of far-reaching substantive disagreements as "culture war", you try to understand what the actual issues are and answer the hard questions instead of the easy ones, then maybe come back with a poll that doesn't contain a slur.

I’ve heard it used neutrally and even in support of the position enough times that I’m comfortable with my understanding and usage

Deleting the poll because I want to avoid provoking a flame war. This argument is going on in enough other places, not worth a battle in my mentions.

Still don’t agree with your take in how the term is being actually used, but I got enough of a sense of the sentiment I wanted for my needs with 148 responses But I’ve seen this topic go forest-fire very quickly too often to want to light a spark in these dry woods

It's not just my take. It's clear from your first definition of "TERF" and the way you phrased your poll that you have heard only one side of the debate. It's fine not to be interested in this debate.. But if you are, then hear out those labelled "TERFs" too.

There are some interesting people on this side: feminists, lesbians, gay men, intersex people, transsexuals, former transgender people who have desisted, parents concerned at their children opting for a lifetime of hormones & surgery, doctors, lawyers, philosophers...
