The "digital" aside (what does he think that means?) I don't get why he feels like he needs an opinion here. It's a technical question, it doesn't trigger the libs... does he think the steam comes from burning coal or something?

Is there anything he doesn't feel like he needs an opinion on? The neat thing is that he'll forget about it tomorrow because it's not going to trigger anyone and is therefore irrelevant. Infinite opinions, weakly held.

Turns out he said that catapult stuff in like Jan 2017 and now he was grilling some navy guy about it again today on the thanksgiving phone call, so he does remember (the guy on the phone said he'd pick EM which seemed to trip him up).

I think he does hold on to opinions, often for decades. He just doesn't think about them deeply when forming them in the first place. His catapults opinion is clearly some visceral/emotional idea of it being more of a huffing-puffing beast thing.

Oh yeah, his expertise is in show business. He's walking around the aircraft carrier critiquing it like a high fashion designer. The grey is just too GREY, you know? I hate it. It's a disgrace. Whoever picked that grey will never work again. More steam darling I need more steam
